Butterfish sits on a quiet stretch of Park Avenue in downtown Rutherford, between a family-owned bookstore and a barber shop that's been cutting hair since 1962. The neighborhood feels preserved—brick sidewalks, trees that actually shade the street, the Bergen County Courthouse clock tower visible two blocks east. We're three blocks from the Rutherford train station (NJ Transit, Bergen line to Hoboken), and the 190 bus stops at the corner. Most guests arrive early to walk the residential side streets, past porches with hanging ferns and the occasional chicken coop. The location matters because it slows you down. You don't stumble in from traffic. You arrive.
